Wearing a mask during COVID-19 is about keeping yourself safe as well as others. With over 200,000+ deaths reported in the U.S. alone there is still no physical way to see or defeat the virus. According to the CDC’s updated guidelines the virus can spread through the air. What does this mean for you and me? If we’re in a space with poor ventilation and not wearing  mask we put ourselves at risk. Can you afford to get COVID?

Let’s say you’re the kind of person that can survive the virus can you afford the medical bills associated with it? What if wearing a mask helps you avoid all the time lost dealing with the virus? What about your family and friends if they get it? Let’s say they survive it but they too have medical bills, is it fair to them that you’re taking an unnecessary risk because you don’t want to wear a mask?

Wearing a mask is of great value in a society where people exercise their freedom of speech by not wearing a mask. Sure some will say we’re scared or whatever they’re programmed to say but at the end of the day your health counts. The health of your family and friends matter, staying safe matters. How do you get through it if it’s unpopular to wear a mask? Just push through and don’t think on what others may think of you.

There so many stories of people who got the virus saying they wished they would have listened and wore a mask or avoided a large gathering.  It may be unpopular to some to wear a mask but wisdom says its better to be safe than not. “Wisdom is supreme therefore get wisdom, though it cost all you have gain understanding.” Proverbs 4:7
